SOUTH AFRICA


South Africa lies at the southern tip of the continent of Africa. Bordered by the atlantic and Indian oceans, it is a beautiful country whit thousands of miles of coastline. A ring of mountains sits just inside the coast, and outlines a high plateau in the center. The country has forests and rich valleys,desert, and grasslandsbthat are called the veld. Johannesburg is its largest city. South Africa borders many countries. And in fact, it completely surround the country of Lesotho!

CAPE AGULHAS
Cape Agulhas is of unique significance. Not only is it the southernmost point in the continent of Africa. It is also the dividing point between the Indian and Atlantic ocean! That stone in front of me marks the dividing point. Don’t you feel like sitting here on the rocks with me to watch two maighty oceans meet and greet each other? What a sight!

A Paradise in Malaysia

Do you want to take a peep of beautiful fairies bathing and frolicking? Come to Telaga Tujuh, a natural wonder in the form of cascading waterfalls to form seven pools of fresh mountain water. Legend has it that the pools are the bathing spot of fairies.

High Pleasure
The Langkawi archipelago contains as many as 99 island, teeming with rain forest, mangrove and of curse marine wonders. A viewing deck and a suspension bridge are perfect spots to enjoy most of the islands (on a clear day, you can see part of Thailand and Indonesia!). Two cable car stations at a hilltop enable visitors to take a 20-minute exhilarating high ride.




Water Sport Haven
If you ever get tired of all the attractions on the main island (Langkawi Island) mentioned above, island hopping is an option. One favorite destination is the isle of Dayang Bunting, With its lake Tasik Dayang Bunting. You can go swimming, kayaking, banana boating and do many other water sport activities in the serene beauty of the inland lake. So what are you waiting for?

NGARAI SIANOK


In Bukittinggi you can enjoy the marvelous view of Ngarai Sianok from a park called Panorama located at one ridge of a valley. By paying Rp. 4000 per person you can feast your eyes on this unforgettable panorama of a big valley between mount Singgalang and Marapi with a river running through it. You can also throw peanuts to monkeys here in this park. But don’t ever have any food in your hand because monkeys will be delighted to seize it. There is also as Japanese cave called Goa Jepang in this area. Going down more than a hundred steps winto an underground space you will see rooms where Japanese troops used to hide during the 2nd Dutch invasion and from where they could escape through the many exit tunnels. You can hire a guide who will be happy to escort you and tell you about this historical place.

Bukittinggi, a small town where you can visit the late Mr.Mohammad Hatta’ residence, where our first vice president was born, has many things that make you want to come back again and again.

JAM GADANG


There are many interesting places to see in Bukitinggi, One of them is the town square where the city icon, a big clock or Jam Gadang (that is the way people here call it) stands in the center. Reading a book, listening to music, chatting with pals, or just watching people milling around the park are some of the enjoyable things that you can do on a bench under the big tress, or you can these place as a metting point with your friends. If you need money, no need to worry because you can make use of one of the ATM mechines near the park. Feeling hungry? Well, just take a walk to the traditional market north of Jam Gadan. You can find lots of traditional food here in Pasar Atas. Nasi kapau is a kind of mail that you can have for lunch. This spicy food is served with vegetables such as cabbage, cassava leaves, and peas in addition to meat, chiken, or fish. If you need to buy traditional food or snacks, clothes, or Minang handicrafth, you can explore the market and get what you want. Don’t forget to bargain.

BUKIT TINGGI FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL


Who dosen’t know Bukitinggi, one of wonderful places in west Sumatra? Bukitinggi is the oldestnagari in West Sumatra locatedsouth of Mount Merapi. ( A nagari is an autonomic area in Ranah Minangkabau.) it takes approximately two hours to get there from minang international airport in a car which you can ent from around the airport. During the trip you can stop by lembah Anai, awaterfall where you can take picture, or tauch the cold water. Rice fields, hills, rumah gadang are amazing views that you can also enjoy on the winding road to bukittinggi. No need to worry about accommodation because convenient hotels and inns are spread out here.
